Doesn’t the summer fly by so quickly? My friends always laugh at me when I say 2 months is never long enough but only teacher can understand that it isn’t!
Seriously, I always look forward to going back. I love the month of September and always have. When I was little, I would obsessively arrange my new pencil case and books in my brand new-smelling-lovely school bag! It is different now, I have a River Island leather vintage school bag! (more…)

Colours PostersAre you teaching your class about colours in Gaeilge? These 13 posters are bright and colourful and offer any of the colours they’ll need to learn. Colours include: black, blue, brown, green, gold, grey, orange, pink, purple, red, silver, white and yellow. Each picture features a face with a different colour and different facial expressions so they can be doubled up as “feelings posters”. Also available in English.

Hello there!
My name is Rozz Lewis, a primary teacher in Carlow town. This will be my 8th year of teaching! Wowwee! When I started teaching, I always thought that anyone who said they were teaching for longer than 5 years were positively senior and ancient…so there you go! I don’t feel it though, I cannot believe I have been in the teaching profession for only 7 years as I feel like I have just begun…
I will be writing a weekly article for anseo.net, you may or may not agree with me. But, that’s just fine! I really want teachers and anyone who reads this blog to add to my rantings. Being an INTO staff representative, I love to get the issues out there and I want this to be a forum where teachers can freely and respectfully speak their mind. I will be reviewing educational products with the vague hope that someone out there may find them useful!
Let me know if there is a piece of software or a book that you want me to have a look at. I will try to get my hands on it!
Anyway, pleased to meet you and hopefully this will be a positive and frequent experience!

Alphabet Frieze26 A4 posters for each letter of the alphabet. Each poster contains a picture with the word as a caption. The text uses the letter “a” used in Junior Infants. An Irish alphabet frieze may become available upon request.
