2016 Predictions

As we come to the last day of year, it is traditional at Anseo.net to make predictions for what we think will be the big stories for the following year. 2015 was the year where inequalities in the country were highlighted. The historic vote for marriage equality in Ireland has raised awareness that there are still many inequalities … Read more

Anseo.net Review of 2015

2015, as always, has been a very busy year in primary education. Every year, we look back over some of our articles throughout the months to see how the year shaped out. The world of technology was a quiet enough place with very few new gadgets capturing the imaginations of teachers. 2015 seemed to be a … Read more

Two Line Tuesday

The Teaching Council misled teachers into thinking they had to become members for several years and it turns out nobody had to pay the fee each year. Their response when asked to refund teachers for this misdemeanor is consistent with their general attitude towards teachers.

As usual here are my responses. Q1 What does Reimagine Learning mean to you? For me, this is an ever-evolving concept. The way we help children learn … Read more

Everything changed when Educate Together came along in … Read more

Two Line Tuesday

I thought it might be helpful to remind the Teaching Council of the definition of the word “consultation” so I looked it up in the dictionary and it said it meant “the action or process of formally consulting or discussing.” The definition did not say that the consulting or discussion would be listened to so I guess … Read more
