Summer Ideas (Competition)
While our friends in second level have started their summer holidays, we have at least another month of school before we break up for the holidays in July and August. We’ll be publishing our guide to this year’s summer courses tomorrow and once they are out of the way, teachers can relax until August when we start all over again, getting our classrooms ready and plans afoot for the new year. The beginning of June allows us to think about the summer ahead and Anseo.net is looking for some good ideas for the summer holidays.
We have teamed up with our friends at Liosdoire to celebrate the opening of the Liosdoire Holiday Home, a newly renovated 4 star architecturally designed house which is especially designed for families with members who are wheelchair-users.
The prize is a fantastic AGFA AP OPTIMA 147 digital camera, a 14MP camera, which you can use to take your own holiday photos or use with your class when you come back from the summer break. It has some great features, including:
Face, Smile and Blink Detection
– Red Eye Removal
– Pan Capture Panorama
– One-Click Upload
All you have to do is share a nice idea of how to spend your summer break. It can have educational value or not. You can do this by either commenting below this post, by tweeting us @anseo or add a Facebook comment. We’ll pick the best 4 entries at the end of June.
If you’re stuck for inspiration, here’s something I always do if I go away to an interesting country. I always buy a bunch of traditional items from the country and when I get home, I put them in a box and use them for geography lessons. For example, when I went to Latvia, I brought home a Latvian phrasebook, some amber, a flag and some coins.
A big thanks to Liosdoire for their kind support as always. We’re looking forward to hearing your plans!
